I’d love to invite you to be a part of an exciting collaboration I’m putting together with artist and avid sketchbooker

! We’re launching a sketchbook gallery and want your work to be a part of it.

The sketchbook gallery will be a virtual space showcasing artists’ sketchbooks and materials. Everyone is invited to send us a finished or work-in-progress sketch or art piece along with their favorite art supplies.

We both find endless inspiration in seeing other people’s sketchbooks, including all of the private sketchbook pages shown in Martin Salisbury’s fantastic art book Illustrators’ Sketchbooks. With this sketchbook gallery we want to celebrate your breadth of creativity, help you connect with other artists, and find inspiration for materials and techniques to use for future art making!

How to participate:

1. Fill out this form where you can submit one flat-lay image. Whether it’s with pencil sketches, watercolor paintings, or collage, we want to see your beautiful work along with your art supplies. The work doesn’t have to be new—anything you’ve made in the past is welcome!

2. Tell us a bit about you. Include a short bio when submitting your form—just a few words will do, whatever you’d like to share about yourself!

3. Join our community and spread the word. Help us grow the Sketchbook Gallery by inviting your friends, fellow artists and anyone whose art you would like to be showcased.

We will accept submissions until the end of July (31 at 11:59 PM EST) to ensure that the Sketchbook Gallery goes live in August. Depending on the number of submissions received, we will create various posts and tag your social media links.
