After writing about the benefits of travel journaling a few weeks ago, I’m here today to share my travel journal from my trip to the UK last month!

I’ve filmed a journal flip through video where I talk through my trip and some pointers for travel journaling. This UK travel journal ended up a bit chaotically organized as I had less time to journal on location. It also has more reflections and ephemera than my Lisbon/Nice travel journal. No two journals are the same, just like no two trips are the same.

For those who want to skip or skim the video but still get recs, here they are:

Art supplies used:

Traveler’s Notebook Refill Short Trip in Cream, Neocolor IIs, Art Toolkit palette filled with gouache, colored pencils, fountain pen

London spots:

Food: Fortnum & Mason, Lahpet, Dishoom

Museums: Courtauld Collection, Do Ho Suh at Tate Modern

Edinburgh spots:

Food: Chez Jules, Bariuma Ramen, Mary’s Milk Bar, Kate’s

Bookstores: Typewronger Books, Topping & Company, Rare Birds Book Shop, Tills

Attractions: National Museum of Scotland, Edinburgh Castle, Arthur's Seat, Calton Hill

Isle of Skye spots:

Food: Gasta Pizzeria, Cafe Cuil, Hungry Gull, Bog Myrtle Cafe, Lean To Coffee

Hikes: Old Man of Storr, Quiraing, Fairy Pools

Attractions: Dunvegan Castle & Gardens

Hope this inspires you to journal your travels this summer! If you have any questions or want to chat travel journaling, feel free to message me or reply to this email. And if you’re a paid subscriber, you can get a closer look at my sketchbook pages below:
