Join 31 Days of Creative Resilience
Starting January 1st: Daily practices and reflections to embrace creativity and build resilience
After the equal frenzy and lethargy during the “dead week” between Christmas and New Year’s, I crave a nourishing routine to connect with my creative force again.
As an introvert who relishes going inward and staying at home, winter is my most productive season. Yet for many years, I pushed myself to forge ahead with projects and goals without considering winter’s softer, slower pace, culminating in burnout.
My wish for us this winter is to enter the new year with tenderness and care for our creativity, so we can continue to bloom throughout the year.
This January, I invite you to join my first 31 Days of Creative Resilience journey. You'll receive:
Daily prompts and reflections delivered to your email
Simple exercises to explore in your journal or sketchbook
My personal exploration and response of each day’s topic
Community comments and support
Free subscribers receive the first prompt of each week's theme. Paid subscribers get the full 31-day experience.
Join now for 20% off an annual subscription (offer ends Dec 31), or upgrade for one month for $6.
How it works
WHEN DO I GET THE PROMPT? Every morning in January, I will send out a newsletter with the day’s topic and prompt. The prompt length will vary by day, ranging from 5 minutes to 30 minutes.
CAN I SKIP DAYS? If you skip a day, no worries—just jump back in the next day. If you don’t resonate with a prompt or week, skip it altogether.
DO I NEED EXPERIENCE? ARE YOU SURE I CAN JOIN? You do not need any creative credentials or background! This journey is for everyone who yearns to connect to their creativity. You can practice any medium or format, whether it’s drawing, writing, crafting, or whatever else interests you.
I do ask that participants be comfortable with using pen/pencil and paper and be willing to explore their inner self.
HOW DOES THE COMMUNITY ASPECT WORK? Comments for each daily post will be open to paid subscribers. This is a space for us to connect, share our work, and support each other. You can share snippets of your response to the day’s prompt or share an image of your work using Imgur.
Themes we’ll explore
After a gentle introduction and intention setting exercise to start the new year, we’ll dive into the four themes of the creative resilience journey.
Each weekly theme is related to a creative archetype. Don’t know your archetype yet? Take the quiz here.
WEEK ONE: Embrace the Embarrassing
The secret emotions, hidden interests, and unexamined thought patterns that we want to ignore and brush aside as ‘unserious’ are often our biggest creative fuel. We’ll explore transforming our vulnerable moments and unkind thoughts to honest offerings that we can befriend.
This week maps to the Shapeshifter archetype’s growth area.
WEEK TWO: Practice Mindfulness
In order to birth ideas, our creativity has to leave the mental realm and enter the physical realm. We’ll do this by reconnecting to our body and breath through various mindfulness practices and drawing exercises.
This week maps to the Visionary archetype’s growth area.
WEEK THREE: Reimagine Goals
Creative success is often measured by external validation and productivity metrics that ultimately don’t serve our growth. We’ll deconstruct these assumptions and clarify our own markers of progress, culminating in a creative manifesto.
This week maps to the Strategist archetype’s growth area.
WEEK FOUR: Find Ways Forward
Sustaining creative practice isn’t about powering through until we burn out. It’s about understanding our natural rhythms and building supportive systems. We’ll explore our energy patterns and create flexible structures to nurture us for the long haul.
This week maps to the Voyager archetype’s growth area.
Materials needed
I encourage you to work through the daily exercises by hand. You'll encounter journal prompts, drawing exercises, and "free days" for your own creative exploration.
You can use as many or as few materials as you’d like. At minimum, I suggest:
Paper (loose sheets or sketchbook)
Pens or pencils

Thought I would be a shapeshifter maybe but got voyager. I have been feeling very confused about my creative path for a while and why it's different from others. I guess naturally there are a lot of strategists who tend to be more visible. Really brings a lot of insight to see my creativity as me wanting to documenting my journey and share what I learn with others.
Cool quiz! I’m a Voyager! Just the name alone fits me!
