Wow! I've never bought a wedding dress but, I do feel this way when I just buy clothes in general. Often I'll try things on and I'll be like "well is this the person that I am or the person that I want to be?" And it's easy to downplay our feelings by being like "well it's just clothes." but we all know it's never "just clothes" I love this way of storytelling! Your illustrations as well as hearing about your background about your mom's wedding dress is really interesting!

Love this reflection Christina! Clothes are so empowering and fun—a great way to try on different personalities. We can be both who we "are" and "want to be" at any moment :)

Imagine worrying about matching 2 wedding dresses...

My wife and I ended up doing our wedding dresses in Hoi An, Vietnam, because of their renowned tailors. Without looking at each other's dresses or giving too much away, we had to make sure they wouldn't clash or be too "samesy." It was so very stressful, but everything worked beautifully together.

Oooh fascinating! Did you use the same tailors? I can't imagine the quadruple amount of stress—but also how gorgeous the end result must have been! 😍
